Backend APIs refers to the tools responsible for communication with our servers at Schmooze that store your personal and usage data safely and securely with us. It is also responsible to provide you services and features which are critical to the functionality and usage of the Application by you. Our Backend APIs are reachable at https://drogon.schmooze.tech
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
Voice Data means audio recordings, voice clips, and voice-interview recordings You provide or that are captured during Your use of voice-enabled features, together with transcripts generated from such audio.
Biometric Data means personal data resulting from specific technical processing relating to Your physical or behavioral characteristics, including voiceprints and other characteristics derived from Voice Data.
Derived Data means information We generate, infer, or compute from Your inputs and activity, including personality and lifestyle profiles, extracted traits, derived attributes, profile summaries, embeddings, and match features.
Behavioral Data means event-level data generated through Your interactions with the Service, including swipes, sessions, in-app actions, and engagement signals.
Sensitive Personal Data means personal data that requires a higher standard of protection under applicable law, including Biometric Data, and which We process only with Your explicit consent.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

When You use voice-enabled or AI voice-interview features of the Service, We collect and process Voice Data, including audio recordings, voice clips, and transcripts generated from those recordings. We use Voice Data to provide and operate voice features, generate transcripts, power AI-driven interactions, and create Derived Data as described below.
Voice Data is biometric in nature. We process Biometric Data only on the basis of Your explicit, informed, and specific consent, which You may provide or withdraw at any time. If You withdraw consent, We will stop processing Your Biometric Data on a prospective basis, subject to any retention required by law.
We collect Behavioral Data generated through Your interactions with the Service, including meme-swipes, session activity, and other in-app interactions. We use Behavioral Data to operate and improve the Service, personalize Your experience, and generate Derived Data.
We generate Derived Data from Your inputs and activity, including personality and lifestyle profiles, extracted traits, derived attributes, profile summaries, embeddings, and match features. Derived Data is created to provide, personalize, and improve the Service, including matchmaking and AI-powered features. Derived Data is treated as Your Personal Data under this Privacy Policy and is subject to the same use, disclosure, retention, and transfer provisions, including the Business Transactions provisions below.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.

To build profiles and generate Derived Data: to analyze Your inputs, Voice Data, and Behavioral Data in order to generate personality and lifestyle profiles, extracted traits, embeddings, and match features used to provide, personalize, and improve the Service.
For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by Us about our Service users is among the assets transferred.
For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing and your experience.

You may exercise these rights, including requesting deletion of Your account and associated data, through in-app settings or by contacting Us using the details in the "Contact Us" section. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
We retain each category of data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law. Voice Data, transcripts, and Derived Data are retained for the period needed to provide and improve the Service and are deleted or de-identified when no longer required, unless a longer retention period is legally mandated.
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction.

At this time, we do not track our Users' personal information over time and across third-party online services. We do not knowingly permit third parties to collect personal information about an individual User's online activities over time and across different online services when using the App.
